solar hot water - costs & grants
Approximate Costs
Prices vary according to exact requirements but, as a rough guide, a simple system with a new 210 litre, twin coil hot-water cylinder, a mains powered pump unit and a controller would cost around £4,000 (before grants), and a more complex system could cost up to £5,000.
You may qualify for a grant - more information below - and these may be deducted from these approximate prices. Typically a solar hot-water system is installed in two days.
Grants for Solar Hot Water
Systems
As we are a Low Carbon Buildings Programme accredited installer you should be eligible for a £400 grant towards the cost of your solar hot water system.
It is very straightforward to apply and claim your grant. You should recieve an offer of a grant within a day, if your application is made online, and this is something we are very happy to help you with.
In some areas, you may be eligible for further grants from your local council or similar authority. Interest free loans can also be available in certain areas, for example in Herefordshire. For up to date information on grants and interest free loans please give us a call, as these do change regularly.
Please do not hesitate to call us on 01981 241 399, if you have a specific product or project in mind.
