Solar Hot Water - Overview
Greenearth Energy design, supply and install solar hot water systems for domestic and commercial applications as well as for swimming pools

Solar hot water systems will typically provide 50% of your hot water needs, thereby saving about one tonne of C02 per year. Most of the benefit is in the summer months. The system does not require direct sunshine to operate, so some heat can be generated even on partially over-cast days.

Solar hot water systems work very well in conjunction with biomass heating systems. For customers with Agas, who have an alternative method of cooking, fitting a solar water system will mean you can turn off your Aga for the summer months, as the solar hot water system will provide your hot water.

NEW! - The Renewable Heat Incentive - get paid for the renewable heat you produce!
Between 2011 and 2015 a budget of £850 million will be made available for this incentive that will apply to domestic, commercial and industrial projects. The incentive was announced by George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in the House of Commons as part of the Government's Comprehensive Spending Review on 20th October 2010. It covers all renewable heat technologies but the feed in tariff rates for them have yet to be "agreed" between Ministers and their civil servants
