The stove is loaded with logs and lit manually in the same way as a traditional log burner. Radiators, underfloor heating and hot water are controlled automatically using conventional timers with the use of a buffer tank which store’s energy from the stove.

Unlike traditional log burners, the Lenius stove has a sophisticated heat exchanger for heating water rather than a back boiler. Back boilers on stoves are notorious for creating disappointing stove performance, reducing the heat into the room and reducing efficiencies.
The Lenius’ system avoids these problems using the heat exchanger and pumping the water to a buffer tank where it is then used for heating radiators, under floor heating or hot water.
